If you become a professional actress, you'll be playing many different characters from many different time periods. You'll be speaking the words of lots of different playwrights. You'll be expressing a huge variety of emotions and attitudes and life experiences and value systems. So everything you can learn will be valuable to you. Literature and history will be the most obviously relevant studies, but math and science will also stand you in good stead.

Naturally, you'll want to study the basics of the acting craft. You'll want to take classes in voice and movement and theatre history. You'll want to attend as many plays as possible to watch other performers in action. You might want to study dance or fencing or martial arts to help you gain more control and awareness of your body.

For now, get as much experience as you can with your high school drama club. When the time comes to apply to college, look for a school with a strong drama program. Your goal is a worthwhile one. It won't come easily, but it's worth the effort.
