So not so much an after life, but a transfer to another place or time? Also, I believe that some people really can deplete them selves to help others heal, then regain there strength by meditation. Do you think this can be learned?

You can't ignore that gut feeling you get if somebody is a bad person, and turn out to be right. I feel this ties in with our own energy, from our bodies, not from outer space or the planet zog. You can feel things so much more if you tune in to what keeps you alive, maybe its electricity, we all have that working in tandum with our bodies all the time, every second. Thats science. I think this is our own energy field, but some people are too logical and don't accept this.... We still have so much to learn ...

Really glad I asked this.. it has posed yet more questions and I love that. If you take it from the scientific approach it is just as interesting and diverse of an issue. And yes I forgot about the people whom use energy to pull people or knock them over in battle using will power alone. Great answers xx (except the powergen one, so, so sad) lol

I think the 1st law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be destroyed; only converted. So, yes... I do believe that our energy goes somewhere... where it goes? who knows, I would like to know... if you can tell me! It may just turn into heat... but it goes somewhere!

As for your healing question... accupuncture, I believe, uses this concept of channelling energy. So, I would say that, yes, this can be learned.

I have seen some martial artist claim that they can channel "chi" and that is about energy forces... so I would agree that there is still alot of potential discoveries to uncover about our capabilities.

They say, "we only use 10% of our brain". I would say that is very generous for some of the people I run across on a daily basis. But seriously, if we could learn to use the other 90%, who knows what is possible.

It's reasonable to feel that whales are fish, but this doesn't make it true. The problem with feeling is it doesn't need to relate to the way the world truly is - to work out that whales are actually mammals you need to do the hard work of looking at the question completely without feeling, you need to do science.
This basically means having an idea about the way things are (the hypothesis that whales are fish), then working out some tests to try and prove or disprove it (compare whales and other fish), then adjust your idea until it fits the evidence (whales are actually more like mammals). Once you think you've got a working theory you publish it along with details of your tests so other people can repeat and scrutinise them, and if nobody can disprove it then it becomes accepted scientific knowledge about how things are (whales are actually mammals). Hundreds of people can do different tests and add to this body of knowledge and develop new theories (like whales are cousins of hippos), and we gain more and more insight into the way the world works.
Theories about mystical life energy have no test results to back them up; they're based on the mythology and feelings of people, not about how the world works.
Like on the internet we say "pics or it didn't happen" the scientific community says "evidence or it isn't true". There is no evidence for this at all, and until someone finds some, I refuse to believe.
If you don't have this kind of safeguard, you could end up believing everything anyone says - anyone who's making money selling healing crystals, witchcraft books, telephone astrology or on-line exorcisms. The BS industry is worth millions of dollars, and it relies on people trusting their feelings rather than the evidence. Scepticism is your best defence against these vultures.

If referring to natural energy, or "Ki", yes I believe.

Qi, or ki (in Japanese romanization), is a fundamental concept of traditional Chinese culture. Qi is believed to be part of every living thing that exists, as a kind of "life force" or "spiritual energy". It is frequently translated as "energy flow", or literally as "air" or "breath". In Mandarin Chinese it is pronounced something like "chee" in English, but the tongue position is different.

The belief is that Qi is eternal. If that were the case, then it could be possible to learn of the ki from "another place or time". As far as regaining strength through meditation and healing...there are some monastic orders out there that are quite efficient at such. You just have to know people, period.

i do believe it's possible, and i believe it can be learned. it has been something i've been trying to figure out for a while, and i think the first step is raising your awareness.
there's not a lot of "how" to this, but guided practice is useful, if you can find a good guide. they are hard to come by. mostly i've read about it in books, like The Celestine Prophecy, and The Golden Frog - works of fiction, but presenting ideas in ways you can really feel. Kundalini yoga has helped give me some direction about percieving energy within myself. oh, and another very good book related to your question is Human Technology, by Ilchi Lee.

Yes, when I was younger I could make myself have an out of body experience. You have to be really open to the idea before attempting anything. It does take a lot of meditation. Now that I'm older its alot harder to do, cause I stopped doing it for a long time.

Absolutely.
One way to transfer our energy is to hug someone. It transfers your good feelings about that person to them.
On the other hand, if you are angry with someone and yell at them, you are transferring that energy, too.
Either way, that person will continue in their day feeling the effects of your attitude about them.
Plants and other animals unwittingly transfer their energy to us every day. We eat them, they give us nourishment and energy to do things, through our waste and deaths we give nourishment and fertilizer back to the earth. The earth then causes plants to grow, animals eat the plants, we eat the plants and animals.
Its a constant circle.
Psychic energy can also be transferred. Have you ever been thinking of calling someone and had them call you or even show up at your place? I have.

Absolutely. Einstein said it best: "Energy is never lost. It is merely transferred from one party to the next". Mr Einstein would be surprised to learn just how right he was.

The latest discoveries in quantum physics have actually seen the smallest particles inside the atom appear and disappear in front of the scientists' eyes. This may indicate that our own energy may exist in different planes simultaneously and we are just not aware of it.

The only transferable energy that I know of is when Scotty beams us down to the surface. It's a weird feeling!

Sci-fiction not withstanding, there have been samples of energy transferring in our daily life. Witness the pep talk that coaches give to their teams at halftime, that revitalizes any team with energy. Teachers also give energy to students - knowledge. And emotions give their own brand of energy. Try giving love or a smile to someone and see them respond.
