Yes, I can see how some people might not though. In some states they don't have anything but full service, and if you've grown up there you may have never learned how to. Then when you go out of state and can't find a full service gas station you might have some problems.

A real amazing question and i`m sure you did expect most of these answers that you have received. Actully i place the hose at the gas station and the gas station pumps the gas thru the machine that is designed to do this for you. All you do is place the gas pumping nossle into the gas filler hole and you press the lever to release the gas that is pumped out for you. HAHAHA this person got you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes dear friend, how hard is pumping your own gas. Open the door on your fuel compartment, pick up the nozzle, insert the nozzle into the fuel section (round hole where the fuel goes in), squeeze the nozzle, and watch the gauge on the pump to make sure you put in the dollar amount you need. Make sure you don't squeeze the nozzle that hard that the fuel starts to squirt every where. Also listen for the click, that will tell you when you have reached the maximum capacity for the fuel that can go into your car. Hope that helps.

There's easy to follow instructions printed on the front of most gas pumps. This, however, does require some basic reading and cognitive skills, as well as a certain degree of hand/eye coordination.
Refer to your owners manual for instructions on how to remove (and reinstall) your gas cap, as this varys from model to model.
Good luck!

My friend's grandmother is about 70 years old and she has never pumped her own gas. In Oregon I believe they have all full service gas stations- to create jobs & reduce gas theft. Also in KY they have full service stations for no extra cost!

So which state do you live in? New Jersey or Oregon?
If it's the former...and I suspect it is...that's one of the things that really bugs me about people from your region of the country. You generally have very narrow horizons.
Also, yes. Yes I do. It isn't exactly rocket surgery. Everyone with a driver's license in 48 out of 50 US states knows how, and so do most people in the remaining two states.

Yes but I hate doing it. I wish there were more full service gas stations. You end up paying a little more but I think it's worth it.

I understand your question, I came from N.Y. (Forest hills) and it was all self service. I moved to Southern Fl around six years ago. The first year I drove around on empty till my husband filled the tank. Finally, he realized and thought it was funny so he taught me. I felt so stupid and girly, it really is easy. Anyone from Forest Hills I miss you especailly A&J pizza the best ever!!!!
