First, I wish every one to understand: I DO NOT TRUST ANY-ANY POLITICIAN !!! If they were worth a crap, they would be productive in the private 'sector' and producing a valuable product, service, or benefit !!!
Second, If the Bastar* is a politician, VOTE HIM / HER OUT !!!!
Now, enough for my 'preaching'!
How about a LOTTERY, with the 'proceeds' / profits, after payouts, to be placed into an insured, interest bearing 'trust fund', WITH NON POLITICAL people ( exactly like a private company), doing the 'paperwork, payouts, investments' etc.
This is rudimentary, and just for some THOUGHTFULL 'feedback' from people who, not knowing me, will "TELL IT LIKE IT IS" !

Where to start.
First, if we had politicians that were more like our brilliant Founding Fathers, we COULD trust them. Today's politicians are greedy and eager for more power and don't want to do any work to earn it. In addition, they are dishonest B.S. specialists.
Also, if they do NOTHING, then no one can find fault with what they have accomplished. It is a system that is rigged against the citizen due to the distortions of the Constitution and Bill of Rights provided by our Founders.
If they were honest, they would provide guidelines leading toward standardization of the health insurance industry. Insurance Policies would become understandable. Citizens could choose the type of policy that best suited THEM. From that point, competition would help keep costs low and services more efficient.
Put limits on law suits. (The lawyers won't allow THAT!)
The Government screws up anything they try to control. Keep our health care OUT of the hands of Government. If THEY control it, every decision could become a political issue. (Abortion is an example.)
Try arguing if it is best to cut costs by euthanizing the elderly, or : "Of course we should spend billions of dollars to keep them alive. Life is far more valuable than money!"
These decisions MUST STAY IN THE THE HANDS OF THE INDIVIDUAL!
I guess that is a start on how I feel about the subject.
