Which all hockey players have played hockey even though they had something wrong?
For example. Sidney Crosby played for 2 and 1/2 weeks with a broken foot..

Mario Lemieux played through debilitating back pain for most of his NHL career. That's a little longer than 2 and 1/2 weeks lol. He had severe spinal disc herniation, he even had someone tie his skates for him because it hurt too much to bend down. Not to mention how he came back and played after being in radiation therapy for his cancer for 2 whole months.

I know that you probably knew, you are a Pens fan, I just think that he is the best example of a player playing with injuries.

Wayne Gretzky played the last 850 games of his career with a two herniated discs in his back
Mike Bossy played the last year of his career with a sore back
Pierre Pilote played most of the 1964 season with a hairline fracture in his foot and still won the Norris trophy
The number of players past and present that have played with broken bones in their foot is huge.
Crosby was certainly nothing special by doing what he did. I would have been more concerned what people like Roberts and Recchi would have said had he NOT played through it

How about Bobby Baun playing with a broken leg and scored the winning goal in Game 6 in OT.

There's been so many players to play hurt but the person who come to mind when I think of it is Bobby Orr. Obviously his career was cut very short due to a knee injury. He sustained the injury in his rookie year but played through it. It was a problem on and off throughout his career but often played while it was hurting him. And eventually he went to the Blackhawks and tried to play but he just couldn't do it.

When I was a kid I saw a Bruins game where I think it was Wayne Cashman went into the boards hard, feet first, and hurt his ankles, figuring they would swell up too badly, he didn't take his skates off between periods, he finished the game, I think, and after the game he discovered he had broken one (maybe both, I have consumed a lot of beer since then) of his ankles! Now that's tough!

Well Darcy Tucker decided to play a game with an injured foot and played for like a shift or two and then got nailed into the boards and injured his shoulder.

John Madden got hit in the face with a puck in the first period last year. He cam back in the third, with his eye red and swollen and his nose bleeding, but a bandage stuck in it. He also had a cut with stitches. He missed the next game or so.
And don't believe everything you read on the internet...
