Could you give me a couple of different methods of textile printing and explain to me what they involve, eg equipment, origin, fabrics, paints, countries.

This sounds awfully like GCSE Textiles homework.
Visit BBC bitesize, or put the words in a search engine.
Even putting "fabric printing " into one will come up with results.
There is batik, screen printing, block printing. Just try.
After all, you'll rermember it for the exam better if you look it up yourself, as there were questions on it in this year's exam. (You'll probably get it as a mock exam.)
