No. We didn't hug. My parents slept in seperate rooms & did not hold hands. There was no cuddling on the couch, NADA. In my adult life, I've learned that neither of my parents came from touchy feely families so I realize now that my parents didn't know how to show affection. I hug my kids & cuddle with my husband.

I'm part of the 'old school' and hugs weren't a big part of my childhood though I was loved and happy. It was hard to accept hugs from people when I grew a little older because I wasn't used to it but I made sure my children had lots of them and my Grandchildren give me hugs for the fun of it,it's a nice warm feeling that no-one should miss out on like I did.

Yes, indeed! My parents loved me very much. My Mom would literally get down on her knees and hug me. When my Dad would come home from work all four of us would run out to meet him and get our hugs. I was the lucky one. I was the youngest and the only boy. They make quite a fuss over me.

No, that's why I don't really like being touched alot now as an adult. I deal with my children differently. They both have grown up with lots of hugs and physical displays of effection.
