I agree, no magnets and no paint. Vinyl is the new pain and magnet.

Besides when your young "I'm a little racer" thing wears off and you have to pretend to be an adult, you'll wish people didn't refer to you as the guy/girl with the thunderbolt on their car.

So go with the vinyl. Just don't put those retarded loud obnoxious pep boy tips on your muffler and you'll be fine.

PS: Even though I'm dogging you a little, I kinda like the thunderbolt.

If you are sure you like the design for the duration of your ownership of the car, then painting is probably the better way to go.

Magnetic decals (or any kind of vinyl decals) are for temporary use only, prolonged use especially under the sun can discolor the paint on the rest of the car enough to cause an "image" on the covered area when the decal is removed.

I like your taste in choosing the lightning bolt design.

Actually, we don't paint the race cars anymore. We have them wrapped. You can go to a vinyl graphic shop with a picture of what you want and they will put it on vinyl and adhere it where ever you want it put, and when you are tired of it, peel it off and do something else. That is how advertising on busses is done, and many other types of advertising. A lot cheaper than paint and no bolts.
