as zenock stated, unless your multitasking don't get a wide screen just a normal flat screen as the pages dont turn out as designed. I have a 24" wide screen and it works great for having alot of open windows but once i go full screen with an IE windows it no longer looks good.

If you like your 14 inch you will love a 17 inch. Might want to think about if you really want a widescreen though. Widescreens are good for watching movies and playing games.

Web surfing and letters, you might want a normal screen.

Samsung, Dell, Asus. I have in my opinion had adventure with both Samsung and Asus video exhibit gadgets. Samsung looks to continuously have better proper photo high quality at an sufficient fee element. Asus often promises a sturdy bang for your dollar. the in basic terms difficulty with asus is their shopper provider is undesirable, so in case you run in to a difficulty, then you honestly are especially a lot stuck with it. i have not in my opinion used dell video exhibit gadgets, yet ive heard sturdy issues about them.
