They won National Championships in 1958 and 2003. Yes with the talent they get, they should one year soon win some more. You have to remember that the conference they are in is tough and one slip up can cost you your chance.

I don't think they will win another one, ever major college football program has their chance to shine and I think LSU just lost their chance!
Look at FSU, a great program in the 90's, now where are they?
Let me finish by saying this, LSU probably has one to two years left of solid talent so they are on the clock, after that recruiting will shift as it always does and they will have to complete the cycle before they are back in the spotlight.

Assuming that LSU lives forever, and so does NCAA football, as well as the concept and method of a National Championship, they're obviously going to win it eventually. Then again, so will every team.

They just won one in 03-04. They will probably win another again; this might have been their best chance for awhile losing 25 seniors, but I'm sure they will be back. I'm not an LSU fan at all but I don't see them going to far down the SEC standings.

They are tough to come by. They did split a championship with USC. There really are not true championships in college football

LSU is a a point where they can contend almost every year....
The new coach (whoever it is) will have to find away to get across to this team that they must play with discipline (stop playing down to competition, stop the stupid penalties).
