I think it's interesting that people refer to feminists as feminazi's, but what do feminists have to do with people who committed mass genocide, and rounded up people into concentration camps, such as feminists? How can feminists be nazi's, if the nazi's disliked feminists and imprisoned them? Quite a few of the founding members of second wave feminism are Jewish as well. Why would you call Jewish feminists feminazi's?

Is there a similar term for anti-feminists? for sexists? If a feminist is called a nazi, what can a sexist be called?

Looking over the comments, I'm seeing many examples of people throwing terms around without really understanding what they mean. Let me clarify some things: The Nazis were fascists. That means they were fervently right-wing. They were against feminism and liberals. To compare the two groups is like comparing apples to oranges and it is totally wrong. It also shows how little valued history is in our society. If people really knew their history, they wouldn't make such comments because they would know better not to.

By the way, abortion was illegal in Nazi Germany. A woman could be jailed if she had an abortion and executed if she had a second one.

Sarge 927 & Eugene C - very well said. Some people need to see legions feminists in black uniforms goose-stepping down the high street before they see a valid comparison.

Re the term for anti-feminists: people who value freedom? The term 'sexist' totally misses the point in this context, as obviously it is the ideological feminists who are being sexist! However if you are looking for a term for men who hate women regardless of what they say, then 'misogynist' is the word you are looking for.

Even where I am most critical of certain feminists and feminist ideas and rhetoric, I'd never invoke Nazism. Trivializing one of the greatest evils of the last century in that way is a sign of ignorance or moral idiocy. And have these people never heard of Godwin's Law?

That said, feminist abuse (those feminists who are the equivalent of men who say "feminazi" - not all feminists or even most) is more to insinuate that a man who criticizes feminism is in some way comparable to or likely to be, a rapist or a wife beater, that he's probably a racist and an anti-Semite, and the like.

How about Nazis, Pigs, or Morons? All are victims to their own defecation and ignorance, as will be those who use the term to describe all feminists. I think that anyone who doesn't believe in equality will someday, if not already, suffer righteous repercussions in some way. Simply by their lack of intelligence, they are already feeling negative, which has a negative effect on them. Anti-feminists display the same type of uneducated bigotry as Nazi's. Period

Hold on a second here. Not all feminists are referred to as feminazis. The term "feminazi" is reserved for the most radical feminists who (a) believe women are superior to men in every way, (b) believe they don't need men for anything, (c) believe all sex is rape, and (d) push abortion as their biggest agenda. It's the abortion issue that's the real problem. Nazis committed mass genocide, as you said, but feminazis advocate the mass genocide of innocent unborn children.

Most feminists don't fit this bill -- the vast majority of feminists are simply looking for equal footing with men, especially in the business sector. Unfortunately, the most vocal feminists are also the most radical, so the feminazis give the rest of the feminists a bad name.

Feminazai is a term coined and popularized by right wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh. Like just about everything he says its hyperbole and used to describe feminists who are absolutely militant about their cause. For instance abortion rights are high on the fiminists' agenda. Most feminists are content to state openly how they feel and support their position through the voting process. The fringe extremists, or those referred to by Limbaugh as Feminazis will protest churches and other organizations against abortions, they'll write threatening letters, and trample other people's basic civil rights in order to bring their agenda to fruition.

The answer to the second part of you question is that men have been called male chauvenist pigs (both fairly and unfairly) for far longer than the term feminazi has been in existence.

Nick Rockefeller has bragged that "they" created Feminism to split the American house, divided against itself. Because before they could only Tax half the population. Bella Abzug has bragged pubicly that the CIA financed her magazine. Feminism has Destroyed the Family in America, so now we have ton's of throw away children. Now women wait longer to start a family so they can sow promiscuous oats, take birth controll and become sterilized. You know that Birth Controll will sterilize you, and it makes you act crazy because it is an overload of female hormones.

Feminism is acinine invention that is meant to destory us. Yes women should get equal pay, and the right to vote no one is debating that. Also yes alot of Feminist women where Jewish, you see that is another point. The Jews are an Alien Culture to America. They come from Arab lands so yes they treat women alot worse than White Gentile Men treat their Women. It's in the Culture, in Ancient times White Men treated their White Women with respect and some would worship them as Goddesses. So this disparody is something that came about after the Romanization of our people. Because again the Roman's where a latin culture that treats Women differently than AngloSaxon/Celtic culture would.

Yes Feminist and the Left in general are Facists, because they don't allow dissent. If you disagree with them there first move is to bully you. That is because they are for the most part afraid of honest debate. Any Woman considering Feminism should remember that the concepts in it are acinine and foreign to our people. Have you ever seen a Feminist that was older and happy? They are an incredibly selfish and unhappy group of childless women who feel they are moraly superior to every one else.

Well, I believe that term came about because feminists in general or at least perceived to not have any sense of humor and will play the begrieved minority card faster than you can say "Johny Cochran" at anything said about women that can be in anyway construed as insulting or derogatory. It is this extreme political correctness that feminists demand of society that is reminiscent of the censorship that the Nazis imposed. It is nothing to do with race or religion but more of censorship and this prevailing belief that women can do without a man that gives feminists this air of arrogance similar to the Nazis. Now I'm not saying that feminists are Nazis but I will say that they wield the stick of political correctness way too much. And I'll give you an example, if a woman went on a talk show and said "All men are pigs and women are smarter than men." She would get round of applause and cheers from the audience while if a guy said that "Men are smarter than women.", he'd be booed off the stage. It is this hypocrisy and censorship of free speech that agitates us guys about feminists.

probably most feminists support abortion, but not 100% of us do in the usa, the majority of people (not all call themselves a feminist) support the right to abortion. so, saying feminists adocate for abortion is truthful, but it's not the whole picture -b/c so do other people - its just another example of how we're blamed for everything.

calling us feminazis? ridiculous. it's been the most peaceful social movement on earth. we've been killed, but feminists have never killed anyone (unless you include the wacko -who wrote the scum manifesto- who shot andy warhol b/c he later died as a result). otherwise, we have 0 casualties - rare for social movements that fight for rights.

anyway...sometimes i call them 'angry harries' (you've seen his misogynist web site, right?) or "weirdo groups". sometimes i think of them as "oppressors united" --- it helps. we should come up with a better name though.

Rush Limbaugh coined the word 'feminazi' in an attempt to turn the word 'feminist' into a dirty word much the way the Republicans have tried to turn the word 'liberal' into a dirty word. This kind of tactic back fires, though, because all it does is make people dig in their heels and fight harder against their attractors.
