I am curious to know:

Why is it that after a few drinks: When you sit by yourself do you realize how hurt you were when someone broke your heart?

because your already hurt when you are sober and alcohol is a deppressent it just intensifies the feelings more you should always drink on a happy occasion not a bad one. drinking should be a fun social thing.and if your heart is not healed you need time to mend it before you can move on and have fun.

I've HEARD that alcohol raises the level of estrogen in both men and women.. which brings out more emotion.. I haven't seen any research on that though.

For a FACT, I do know that alcohol is listed as a depressant as a drug.. in other words it brings your mood down.. which would explain the dwelling on dark times.

That sounds like a good title for a country-western song. Because alcohol lowers inhibitions and you feel things you normally suppress.

I never get like this. Being drunk affects everyone in a different way. I guess this is how it affects you. Because when I am drunk I just want to party harty harty.

Because alcohol relaxes our pretenses. When sober it's easier to push painful memories to a place where we don't notice them. Drinking makes us more lax, and more likely to remember painful things
