Alright, I own a ps3 and I need some help..
I'm not the type of person who loves fighting games, or racing.
Not that much.. But, I do have certain types of games I like, which I can't really find..
Can you please help me?

I like this type of game..
Where you, search for stuff, clues, objects, evidence, anything.. Go around the city, explore, buy stuff like food, and take a taxi (LOL), like Real-Life based games, And you would talk to people, and choose answers, you know, A B or C. Where you get to decide, choose the path you like, etc.

What I need to know about the game I wrote above is,
- What type of game is this? RPG.. w/e.. ?
- Can you give me names of games of what I described above?

I played Shenmue 2 on Xbox, and I really liked it because, you would explore the city.. Gamble and win.. And when there's a scene you would press "X" or "A", at the correct time or you would lose, and also, you would go stay at a hotel earn money, etc..
Best answer - 10 points.

Well, the only games that I can think of that you described are:

The Getaway 3
Grand Theft Auto 4
Final Fantasy XIII
Star Ocean 4
White Knight Story

The games that I listed above aren't coming out until next year.

The type of games that you were describing are RPG games. Right now, I can't think of any PS3 games out now that fit your description. But there is one game out that I think you would like because of your description, and it's called Folklore. Folklore is a action/adventure game that has RPG elements to it.

The PS3's major RPG games are coming out next year though.

I believe this would fall under the RPG category. I love these games myself. I had a blast with Shenmue 2 for the Xbox as well. I think a good game that's pretty similar to this is Oblivion (not very realistic, since it's medieval, but still SOO much to do).

Non-linear RPGs are like that. But to my knowledge there aren't many out for any of the next gen consoles yet. (PS3, 360, Wii). PS1,PS2, SNES have many non-linear rpg titles. No taxis, but there are other types of transportation. Non-linear RPG are like normal RPGs, except the progression of the story is based on how you play, and the choices you make which can change the entire outcome of the game.

You could always play World of Warcracft. In WOW, you can pretty much do everything you listed as wanting to do. The same goes for almost any MMORPG though.

San andreas is a fun open world game. I'm also partial to Final Fantasy XII. However, these are both Playstation 2 games. There aren't that many rpgs out for the next gen yet.

Edit: You might actually like Oblivion

a million. I own 3 gaming consoles. my PS3,PSP,and my Wii that i've got not used for a whilst. 2.I owned a N64 first because of the fact i bought it at a storage sale. 3.i don't "experience undesirable" as quickly as I make a bad selection because of the fact its basically a game. i regularly play the story two times if there is an evil direction and a stable direction to be certain distinctive outcomes. 4. lots of the time the sport autosaves so I dont relatively save the sport a lot. basically earlier a md conflict. 5.i think of a game could have 50+ hours to have a stable storyline because of the fact I dont prefer a game to be too short because of the fact then I dont experience like that's relatively surely worth the funds. 6. i think of there are somewhat somewhat some game enthusiasts yet i think of the main easy style are people who do not play 30+ hours each week yet play greater effective than 10 hours each week.

Well, if you don't like fighting games or racing games, you're out of luck with the PS3 until they release Final Fantasy XIII.
