This is embarrassing but I'm 5'9 34E and working out is no simple task. I like to stay lean and trim but the "ladies" get in the way (bouncing while I jog and/or lack of oxygen from layered sports bras, strain on shoulders, back, neck, etc.). I went to the doctor to see what she says about the possibility of a breast reduction. My doctor said that I should change my exercise routine to match my body, before I change my body to match my exercise routine. I see her point. She recommended water aerobics. I'm not a water aerobics type of girl. I'm only 21. I'm supposed to change my routine, do it for a month, and then re-visit her again. What do you recommend? My current routine is 30mins cardio (treadmill usually, sometimes stationary bike), and 30 mins anaerobic (light weight lifting on the pressure machines... nothing bulky). I only do it 5 times/wk.

If you are overweight, walking or any type of movement will help you start to lose. Get the weight down, then consider breast reduction, many times you aren't a good candidate for this without doing your part to reduce them on your own.
For workout, choose things like pilates, yoga, weight training, etc. For cardio...walking, dancing, bicycling, swimming.
I have big breasts too and the only real problem I have is with running or jogging. Flop city, need safety goggles to keep from putting my eye out. (hahahah!) So? You don't need to run. Also avoid tae bo and trampoline workouts, and jazzercise.
But if you are dedicated to exercise that breast size presents a problem, get a really really really good sports bra. Custom if you must. Those cotton jobbers with a racer back are NOT the ticket for the big girls. Look at Junonia.com. This is a store for active BBW's with a lot of workout gear to offer.
You can also layer your tops...use wicking polyesters to keep from getting too hot...so start with a good sports bra, add a tightfitting teeshirt or camisole, then another shirt that is not so form fitting...a jersey, a tee, a henley.

First, I would search for a VERY supportive sports bra. Next, have you considered an eliptical trainer? They provide an excellent aerobic workout, but there is almost nil impact. Obviously the weight lifting you can continue the same.
Oh, definitely try a stationary bike. You get a wonderful aerobic workout, but there is no jostling impact.

Have you ever tried water aerobics? I was 19 when I joined, I didn't want to go because it looked lame but it was pretty fun, also I am very large breasted and it help me as well, there was less strain on my back and I had fun, I didn't want to but I did. At least go to try it out, if you don't like it, quit.
Try working out where it works your pecs because those are the muscles that hold your ladies up and might help you. Try lifting weights.

Have you tried regular swimming? It is a great aerobic exercise, and the girls are not bounced all over the place. Pilates and yoga also give good work-outs without a lot of jerking about (and bouncing). I also walk a lot. You can go pretty fast without your boobs flying all over.
If you want to keep up with what you are doing, get a really good sports bra. They are out there, but you really have to look (and be prepared to lay down a lot of cash). I have also wrapped myself up with an ace bandage. It isn't perfect, but it helps.

you could 'tape' your boobs....I agree with her that water aerobics seems best. I am a D, and it does indeed hurt, but sports bras have always made it better, so I can't think of anything else but applying a binding during workouts. good luck!!
Have you ever tried water aerobics? Even without someone there to 'train' you, it is such a great workout without all of the strain and sweating!!

How long have you had your sports bras? They wear out quickly, especially if they are the cheap ones. Are they just the standard cotton pullover ones or are the they adjustable kind they go on like a normal bra? The cotton slip ons don't do much. You need to get some high impact bras. I did this and it made a world of difference.

i had the same problem. your breast size reduces as you lose weight (if that's what your trying to do). i went down about 2 breast sizes losing weight. i'm a 38 D. i used to be a double D. just get a sports bra that fits comfortably and supports your breats.
i suggest you do elliptical workouts. it's easier than running but still gives you a really good workout.

I think something like crossfit might be a good match for you. In my experience, it has very little rapid "up and down" type exercises and will provide a combination of strength and cardio training. Most workouts are less than 20 minutes and they are very, very effective.
I workout at http://www.crossfitchf.com and the main crossfit website is http://www.crossfit.com
Best of luck.

I would recommend good bra, and don't offend "ladies" ever again, they might hear you!....Mines are smaller size, but used to "jog" with me (bad company!), so i restricted them into tight sportive bra, like top of swimming suit ("tailored", not just stretch with no seams in certain places!) and on top of that goes t-shirt or what ever u want.My hello to the "ladies" and tell them to behave like the ones, not like "naughty girls"

have you tried taping the "ladies" down. Like actually wrapping them in tape. I know it would probably be icky trying get the adhesive off but it could work. I agree with your doctor...if you aren't have back problems b/c are your "tig-o-bitys" then i wouldn't get a breast reduction. LOL women pay thousands of dollars for what you got for free!
