Do you think that it indeed did happen? Some believe that it is a hoax, some on the contrary. There is a ton of proof but, some deny it with facts right back at you. Do you believe in the pictures, documentaries, books, and media? What makes you lean a certain way. I am not asking for you to persuade me but, I want to know your opinions. I believe that it did in fact happen. How about you?

Well, regarding what "some people believe".

IMO, hearing or reading what "some people believe" is one of the seminal proofs that human ignorance permeates the planet.

Even science has glomned onto ideas and positions that were proved ridiculous only a few years after the idea was endorsed by the general scientific community.

If scientists are going to indulge themselves in bad science how can we expect the average, poorly educated guy in the street to do any better.

I remember a nation-wide geography test given college students within the last 10 years.
25% of one well known university could not answer the question as to whether or not Nicaragua and Nigeria were border countries.

Remember
the 'Flat Earth Society'?
people who thought the Moon Landing was filmed at area 51?
Remember various politicians saying wonderful things to the potential voters?
remember the voters who actually believe what politicians say?
remember religious sooth-sayers quoting biblical figures as if there were some accurate record of such sayings?

People have the right to believe...anything they please...no matter how rediculous it may be. Unfortunately, far too many people are quite satisfied with doing just that.

I am sad to say that I support this right because it goes to the issue of freedom on thought.

Freedom of thought is to be preserved at all costs, even if we have to listed to blowhards waxing ad infinitum on subjects they know little or nothing about.

Yes, I believe it happened. How else do you explain the survivors who for decades lived with the horrible knowledge of what men can do to each other? Am I to believe that everything about the Holocaust is hoax and propaganda? That certain people did not exist (Anne Frank and her family)? That photos were staged to depict the horrors, but that they never happened. That the gas chambers and concentration camps, some which still exist as a testament to what happened, really did not exist and were erected to satisfy the plot of some conspiratoral faction? Please... the people who deny this horror... do they believe also that the trans-Atlantic slave trade never happened and that slavery never existed. We can only learn from history, people, if we are true and analytical with all information we are given. Not everything is true, but there are some things that are denied that simply can not be if all things are looked at and judged accordingly.

Yes, absolutely. They just recently opened a Holocaust Museum, which Holocaust survivers have been waiting over 60 years for. It has some pretty graphic descriptions from the Nazi's about the concentration camps.

I think it is human nature to want to deny it. No one wants to believe that anyone is capable of such horror. I've included some links about Social Psychology, which talk about some theories about Good People who Do Terrible Things!

Yes I beleive it happened. My grandma who recently passed away had her numbers tattoo still on her arm. Those that deny it happened have no facts to give.
Also consider this. If it was a hoax, did they have to pay all those actors to be starved to death, shot, gassed, torn from their families? What did their kids get for the same treatment? A candy bar?
Yes it really happened and If people say that didn't happen then we should say Hiroshima didn't happen and the entire war didn't happen. Lets While were taking away from the Jews history lets be fair and take from the black man(and womans) history and say slavery was a hoax. (It happened also).
So yes I believe it did happen.

Of course it actually happened. There can be no doubt that it actually happened, and those who quote so-called "facts" which deny the Holocaust are either deluded or lying through their teeth.

The Nazi era is one of the most minutely documented periods of time in all history. The Germans are extremely fastidious regarding record-keeping, and have repeatedly admitted that the Holocaust took place and that their Nazi government was responsible for carrying it out.

They recently opened their official records of that era to public scrutiny which should quiet those who deny the Holocaust, though those who refuse to believe it happened will claim the millions of pages of documents are all fake.

I don't believe it happened, I KNOW it happened, the holocuast is not a theory yet to be proved by some branch of science it is what happened. My grandmother lived in Germany during the 2nd world war and witnessed many of the depraved horrid acts towards the Jews during the war, but she certainly isn't the only one, there are countless survivors with first hand accounts, not 2 or three rednecks and a weather balloon but people who witnessed possibly the most vile mistreatment of man within their lifetime.

We've been lied to. Many people died in WWII, but not in the way we were told. The original 6 million Jews that were allegedly executed has been drastically reduce to around 2 million. Look into revisionist theory on the holocaust and you will see how the facts have been altered. Questioning history does not make one a racist so to those out there that believe we cannot question government stories, look at how the Nazi party swindled it's people into war in the first place. If that means nothing to you, recall the events leading up to the Iraq war, and now Iran. We are constantly lied to about significant world events and the motivation is most certainly NOT about national security.

please look at this video as well and you will begin to see the lies.

And also, in case you didn't hear from the mainstream media, there has been a secret room in San Fransisco ran by AT&T(one of many around the country). Only people with NSA security clearance were allowed into this room, which reportedly was -- illegally-- recording all computer activities in the region. This means that our govenment is currently, illegally, servailing American citizens in order to crush dissent.

I`m sure those that do not believe it happened think the sky is falling to. Adolph Hitler hated the Jewish people so much he has so many camps built to enslave these poor people. Funny thing everyone neglects to tell everyone is. That Hitler was of Jewish descent. He has tried for years and years to hide that from everyone. Because he was embarrassed by this fact.

Yes, it happened. What possible reason could there have been for faking the deaths of untold millions? It wasn't only the European Jews who suffered during this period of history. The Roma people were also affected, as well as anyone who was disabled in any way, people who were homosexual, Jehovah's Witnesses, and even Germans who opposed Hitler's regime.

I am appalled at those who claim the holocaust never happened. I have no idea how this benefits their lives. It's major denial in my opinion.

****I guess the people giving the thumbs down are 'denialists', huh? Give me a break.****
