It's their country and they can do what they like. That woman went to their country and did what she did.
The Sudanese didnt' come to the UK and demand someone here to be lashed or executed.
You should know by now Muslims are the sensitive type so don't provoke them in their country.

That woman as you call her was over there teaching their kids. If they did not want people there doing this they would forbid it. It's not like she blew up a mosque, incited riots or walked around with signs saying "islam sucks" or anything. It was an honest mistake. I say it's about time to let these countries alone. They want help from other countries and then do things like this. Get out and let them teach their own kids, handle their own lack of medical care, etc. If they suffer earthquakes, floods and any other natural disaster, do not call upon the world to help you out.

For the type of mistake she made, she should have been just made to formally apologize to the people and then be deported, never being allowed to come there again for any reason. End of story. But to want to execute her for this? Craziness.

From your statement, that means that any foreigner in the US or the UK who makes any type of mistake, no matter how small, should be executed? What say you?

Why are people criticising Sudan? Because their government is not only corrupt but also has its head in the sand conserning poverty, starvation, and the genocide of Darfur.I am a christian that has become a student of Islam not so that I can be a convert but so that I may gain understanding. Embracing Islam is about commitment. Embracing Islam is about dedication. Enbracing Islam is about being willing to die for your beliefs. Is everything they believe right? No,not according to christianity. Not accordin, whicg to what I believe in. As a christian should I be dedicated and commited and willing to die and always be aware of Gods greatness and be continually in prayer...yes. Do I fall short...yes.If you actually read the Qu`ran you will discover that much of what your view of Islam is isnt even in this holy book but is misinterpeted much like the Bible often is. Do I condone the treatment of woman in Islam or embrace the many contorted beliefs of Islam...NEVER! The British national teacher was merely allowing her 7 year old students to name a teddy bear.Mohammed is a name commonly given to muslim boys at birth as a sign of honour in Islamic culture, which is what the children thought they were doing. But just as we dont always teach our children the basics and basis of our beliefs, so are those parents guilty of the same.In our culure would we name a teddy bear JESUS? Probably not but in the Hispanic culture the bear may very well have been name Jesus pronounced (hey-seuss).The world is made up of many different cultures, some considered by the western world as good, some bad. "He who is without sin cast the first stone".In America we are not terrorist but we terrorize each other. We have rampent murders, robberies, rapes, childsex abuse and pronography. In the end on Judgement Day...God decides...who was right ,who was wrong.Oh and for those who study the Biblle, sin is sin except for the ultimate sin of blasphemy. Blasphemy in the dictionary means: misuse ,desecration or blasphemously disrepectful treatment of something sacred or reguarded as sacred...profanation,sacrilege. Was she guilty in the country of Sudan???....YES Deserving of excecution ? In our culture no but if you are Sudanese...well you do the math.PROMOTE PEACE.....

Yes. Visitors to ANY country (Britain included) should always remember that they are guests of a society that has its own norms and rules. However those who demand respect for their cultures have to remember that respect is not something that occurs through some divine right; it has to be earned! Sudan, in common with some other nations in that part of the world, has not shown much evidence that would lead me to support the application of justice in such places. In terms of 'doing what they like'...OKAY...but Sudan will learn, as this country has, that that ALL actions bring inevitable consequences.

Because the reaction was way over the top. Its ridiculous and just goes to show what a ridiculous religion it is. On the other hand, we dont react enough to our Christian symbols etc. being denigrated and taken away from us, maybe if we did we would not be losing our identity as a country. before long we will have more Muslim symbols around than Christian, as we have to be so careful not to offend.

The reason is that their citizens come here and commit crimes and expect to be kept by us in prison and not deported at the end as they are in danger in their own country. If Sudanese can expect preferential treatment here then we should expect the same in theirs.

I don't know why. After all, Sudan is such a wonderful, prosperous, and friendly place. A jewel of the world it is. Very advanced and freedom loving. I just don't understand why people would criticize such a nice calm bunch of people.

The children named that teddy - if their religion is so strong to them, why didn't the parents tell their children that this was wrong? No, they would prefer to blame someone else - preferably a British citizen. Let's face it this is political. Our Government has openly criticised the murders they can't stop committing in Darfur and they don't like it so, the first opportunity they get they want blood. The problem is with SOME muslims is that they want it their own way in their country but also want it their own way in ours! Takers.
