carmelo_sabato, thank you for letting me know for side of Greece that it took me about 26 years to see one of all those incidents... But Greeks are not like that, and this is not how you can tell if a person is Greek, this is how you can tell if a person has never contacted civilization and comes from up in the mountains...

If he/she dresses nicer than the rest of the crowd

If he is more handsome than the rest ( Ok, I am talking about you only :P)

If he enjoys good food, good music

If he waves his hands too much when talking (we do that, I bet you do too :D )

Then he is Greek:)

Well, they're usually good looking, well dressed, and look confident.

Other than that, Greek people don't have a certain look. They have eyes and hair of all colours, faces of all shapes, and all sorts of body types.

One feature that Greek people are supposed to have, but not all of them do, is heavy eyelids.

From the gates of the soul "the eyes" I see it immediately if he is Hell-enic or claim to be, like "some" !
you can see it also by the other ethnic groups
and from the charecteristics of the face
what is formed from the language too.

insult? why???

They have similar facial feautures. Usually a small head and the women are curvy down there. I know how to recognize a Greek when i see one, it's something you can't really explain. Although their skin color can range from pale or tanned, and from blonde to black, most have similar facial feautures.

Most of the times I know just looking in their eyes. I don't know how, it's not the look because we look a lot liek Spanish or Italian people, but i can tell the difference. Of course, once they speak I am sure. The language is probably the way to tell different nationalities apart.

I have even a story about this:-)
Location: Paris train station
Destination: Cannes
Event: There were a group of women like between ages 35-40. They were laughing in front of the ticket machine.
Then one turned back and said to me do you know how this works, i did everything and it doesn't work.
I said yes i can help you.
They were still giggling. the i heard them talking.
I understood they speak in Greek. So i started laughing and said: So in this huge station with all the people around we find eachother?
They were looking at me smiling:-)
I said hey kalimera komsu :-))
They were ohhhhh Turkeyyyy and they were turning to eachother saying ooh they are Turkish they are Turkish

Next thing i know: We were in front of the machine chatting.
We were at the same train, too. they gave us biscuits we gave them drinks ;-)
they were fun.
