You can if the placenta more up off of the cervix before delivery and is happens pretty frequently. If it doesn't not you cannot delivery vaginally, in fact you shouldn't even go into labor, it could be very dangerous for you and baby.

Just curious, if you have been diagnosed with Placenta Previa, how many weeks are you? And do you know to what degree (there are 4 classifications)?

Found some interesting info on the subject here:

Take care and best of luck!!

Think about it this way: The placenta is blocking the baby's passage out of the womb. The placenta delivers oxygen to the baby right until the moment the baby takes it's first breath and the umbilical cord is cut. As a result, the baby has to be delivered first and then the placenta.
So, it's like trying to drive through a road that's blocked. Unfortunately, you have to take a detour (in this case, a c-section).

No I don't think the Dr. will allow it. Unless the placenta moves. It could be very dangerous. It could give you and the baby a bad infection and also cause you to hemmorage. The only option is to have a c-section or hope it moves in time. I had placenta previa, and mine moved in my 6 month. Good Luck.

If you still have placenta previa when it's time to deliver, no, a vaginal birth isn't an option. A c/section would be necessary.

How far along are you?

My friend had it and by the time that it was time to deliver ...the placenta (because of the growth/stretching of the uterus) had moved enough to not cover the opening of the uterus...

I think you'll need to mentally prepare yourself for a c-section...but depending on your own personal situation...it's entirely possible that you'll have a normal vaginal delivery.

Congratulations.
