I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer 4x4 four door. I think they said it was an s-10 or t-10 or something. I'm figuring it's about 17 gallons but how can I be sure?

Wow, apparently i get crap gas mileage. I've never ran it dry but I generally only get 270 miles to a full tank and the edmunds site says I should be getting 304/399.
Also it says 19 gallons. Thanks for the link!

You fuel tank it the same part number from 1995-1997 and it is a 18 gallon tank.

My 2002 S-10 p/u has a 16 gllon tank. Just run you Vehicle to the needle on the line, and when you fill up again pay attention to how much goes in and round up to the next gallon. Or google it. Since you do not know that it is an S-10 then you probably do not know what size motor is in it? (owners manual) I am sure there is a P.D.F. on the world wide web, somewhere?

First, put 5 gallons of gas in a can to carry in your truck, then run it until it dies - add the gas from the can, and fill up at the closest station. the amount that goes in at the pump plus 5 gallons, minus whatever was burned getting to the station is your fuel capacity. Or call the local chevy dealer with your VIN and they can tell you what size tank you have.

You have a 20 gallon tank. S-10's came with 2 sizes. 13 and 20.

The specs for 1995 state 20 gallons, but they give different model types. Check this site: http://www.edmunds.com/used/1995/chevrolet/blazer/12946/specs.html

It didn't go anywhere, most fuel tanks have a curve in the hose to the fuel tank, and if it fills too fast it will back up in the hose and the pump will click off to keep from splashing fuel out.

Owners' manual
It's an S10 by the way.
