MOST printers SHOULD include a cable, but don't . . . but then if you buy a $90 printer what's a $5 cable ? (Yeah I know about 50c to the makers)

Wireless printers require a WIRELESS NETWORK

To install them, follow the guide they come with

NOTE FOR USB PRINTERS; DO NOT follow guides that say "plug in printer, then install drivers" USB printers actually install quicker and cleaner if you run the installer and connect printer once it complains driver can't see it !

Just to confirm, most printers do NOT come with usb cables, unless you purchase them at Costco. Costco has arrangements with the manufacturers to include the cables with most printers.
Some wireless printers, you need to use an ethernet cable for the original setup. Most you don't.

Printers do not usually come with USB cables - you'd need to buy them separately if you needed.
A wireless printer can connect to your wireless home network assuming you have one (a wireless router connected to your modem). Once the printer is on your network, you can print to it from any computer on your network. Your computer can be a wireless laptop, or a hard-wired desktop that's connected to your router. The printer manual tells you how to set this up, but you need to have a wireless home network for it to work.
