Ah heck, I guess we'll have to move to Europe,
may I suggest Germany, my ancestral home!!
Germany is a beautiful country, spent 9 1/2 years
there while I was spent some time with Uncle Sam's Army!! As a matter of fact, there just might be a way to be able to get paid in Euros over here in the good ole US of A by requesting that you be paid with Euros at your place of employment.

There are many companies in the European Union looking to hire American trained people. If you worked all week in Europe, you'd probably get paid in Euros.

By the way, when you cash your check, you can ask for Euros and they'll give you Euros if they have any. Most big banks do for exchange purposes.

I live in an area where there are a lot of tourists from Europe. They're have a great time spending their money which is good for our local economy. On the other hand, I'm leaving for Europe this weekend and although I saved, what I thought was plenty of money, I know it's not going to go very far in Germany.

That's funny, you said you worked. America uses the dollar as it's currency. Even if you were paid Euros, you would have to have them exchanged before you could use them. It wouldn't mean that you made any more, you would be paid the same amount of money either way.

yes you can, you could go to a bank to get your American dollars traded for the euro. but just out of curiosity, why would you want an euro? well, unless you live in Europe i suppose...

I know exactly how you feel and then after you pay the American prices for rent, food, travel, GAS, insurance, there is this little thing left over that gets you through next Monday and not very far until Friday. - Everything is going up except my paycheck!
