Why is it an outrage because the father tried to kill the baby but when a mother does it , it is ok. Im not trying to start something I would just like to understand.
If you dont feel like reading, its about a guy who put the RU486 abortion pill into his GF smoothie, she noticed the powder did not drink it and sent it in for testing which revealed the results. Now the guy is being charged with intentional homicide of an unborn baby. Why is it ok for a woman to get one but when a man does he , he is looking at prison?
Help me understand in a ~mature~ opinion.

Because it is considered murder since he isn't carrying the baby I guess...It seems like anyone who 'kills' their baby should be held responsible.
I mean A baby IS a human..when does a human really become a human????????
when their heart starts beating?When they take their first breath outside the womb??When They learn to talk?When they can Vote..???????
I just think it's wrong...A choice yes,but it's wrong........

An abortion is a dangerous procedure for a woman, no matter how it is triggered. Also, it involves her ability to monitor and choose what happens to her own body. It is considered murder because he had no options in deciding to abort. If he didn't want a child there are countless options available to him that don't involve raping a woman by causing the death of their baby. I hope he is given the harshest sentence possible. He is dispicable. He didn't care who he hurt just as long as he got his own way.

I have to say that it is outraging. I don't agree with abortion ever! I'm sorry if you think you are ready to have sex you are saying that you are ready for children, that is how our bodies are made up! And it's true if it was flipped and he wanted the baby and she decided she didn't want it, all she has to do is walk into a place and have them kill the baby, just like that. I'm sorry it's the same! Although I do feel terrible that that girl suffered 2 miscarriages, that is truly sad!

i hate to answer your question with another question, but how come no one here has thought to ask HOW THE HELL DID THE BOYFRIEND GET THE ABORTION PILL?!?! im pretty sure they only give those out to WOMEN who have had counseling on having abortions! maybe this story is a fake, or maybe the girlfriend is framing the BF. who knows...what a messed up world we live in....

I'd guess it's because the it's the womans body we're talking about, along with the unborn child. The woman has a right to do with her own body as she sees fit, I don't believe the man has a right to do the same, as it isn't "his" body.

I think it's because it's her body. If she decides to take it, it's her decision, because as long as the baby is inside her...she's responsible for what happens with it. He really has no say in what she wants to do with her body and her baby.

My guess is because you would have to have the mother's permission to abort since it also effects her body physically...but I'm not sure. You make a good point. Definately something to think about!

Because the man was doing it against the woman's will. When a woman has an abortion, it is her choice.

Iam not sure. In theory it doesnt make sense.
But in reality its only a baby if the mother wants it. If she doesnt want it she, a doctor, or anyone else can kill it. If she does want it and someone else kills it its murder.
Not sure where they plan on drawing the line....
