Well for some reason the flywheel will not start spinning. I have a 1990 300zx N/A 2+2. I have made a direct link from the battery to the stater and it still will not start the car. The crank might spin once, but thats it. Any advice guys?

Yea, I have done just about everything you guys have siad. I ever just took some wire and make a direct link to the battery. Still doesn't want to start. I got my fuel injectors, coil packs are all good, and brand new spark plugs. And about the ECU. I have been having problems with it. I think that it needs to be replaced. And yes the red light comes on.

the problem would have to be in the starter or the battery in it,either that or you have a few missing teeth on the fly wheel that isn't allowing it to catch,id check my battery to make sure its fully charged, and also make sure the starter is good, sometimes a starter will have a bad solenoid on it and that will cause it to kick back out when your trying to start it,auto zone can check the starter if you can get it off, they,ll check this and the battery for free, good luck with it.

On top of what the dodge man suggested, if the battery checks fine along with the starter is to check the battery cable that is going down to the starter. The way to do this is by taking a voltmeter and placing one lead on the B+ (pos. side of Battery) while taking the other lead down to the B+ terminal on the Starter, take the reading in voltage while another person is holding the key in the Start position. If you get a reading of .5 V or less the cable is good, but if it's higher than that then the cable is at fault.

I hope this helps out.......Good luck

How charged is the battery? What does the battery test at under a load? Sounds like either the battery is on it's last leg, or the starter is having issues (dragging, etc.).

if you can hear the starter spinning then the solenoid is not engaging.if the starter spins the motor check for spark and for injector pulse.also take a look at your ecu and see if the red light is coming on when tie key is on the "on"pos.
