still thinking it's BLADE related- usually due to design of blade the grove cut is slightly larger than the body of the blade to prevent binding. (or in ur case smoking). wet wood or wrong blade for use (like a finsh cut blade for framing)? as above a check for correct blade mounting would also be good.

The Blade spins on a "wheel" and any deviation from perfectly circular. what you have described is obviously a wobbling effect that happens on cheap and/or poorly cared for saws.
It is cheaper to but new (DeWalt) then to try to fix it. Keep the blade if it is new use it next saw.

I think you may have a cheap blade or wrong selection for the task, or still you may have the Washer on the wrong side of the blade.
While I was a remodeller I used Dewalt blades exclusively...
They can take profesional torture (he he he ) and still cut great smooth lines. :)

Replace or sharpen the blade. Sounds like a lousy saw.

Skill saws have two settings..one is for depth and the other for an angle..it may be set slightly off the zero degree mark on the angle part, thus casuing it to be in a bind...Check the little wing nut on the angle part..it may be set off just slightly..
