its as device mounted in the the exhaust system on all cars to monitor the temperature of the exhaust this helps it to lean the car out and make it run more efficient,if it goes bad sometimes the will run too rich ,or too lean,either way it makes the engine use more gas and the car run badly,it works in conjunction with the computer to help the vehicle be fuel efficient,good luck on it.

senses how much exhaust is in the exhaust it is placed in the exhaust manifold it sends its signal to the ecu and the ecu aadjusts its air fuel ratio so that there is more or less oxygen
