Both are filled with cheap, tacky c*ap. However, Wal-Mart has more money to keep their facilities and layout in better condition.
Many K-Mart locations are old and jam-packed with stuff, so they appear messy, disorganized...but when you get right down to it, they sell the same stuff as Wal-Mart
BUT, that said, I abhor Wal-Mart as a corporation. Don't even get me started, but although I've of course been inside a Wal-Mart, I would never ever shop there, and suggest that you don't either! Don't support this evil company.
So I have to root for K-Mart, because
1) They're from Michigan, as am I, originally :-)
2) They're an alternative to Wal-Mart, that, if I ever wanted to *buy* that kind of low-quality junk, I'd probably have no problem shopping at.
(and to all the Target fans who post, I have to say that Target isn't so perfect either. They're no Wal-Mart by any means, but I know from the tales of people who have worked there - who weren't fired or disgruntled employees either - that it's not the best place for a job. Apparently, the atmosphere is harsh, pressured and in general unkind)
And how could anyone want to buy FOOD from Wal-Mart!!?!?! I've had some of the stuff and it's absolute s*it!!
