Some of you asked for more information....

I've received several violations from those that monitor the forum and it hurts me deep down inside where no one can see that my questions are removed just because they're Clinton fans...

I feel violated!

Stealth, not to worry it's not.

BUT, Big Brother is using his "patriot act" to spy on us and to make us feel that he is watching.

You are doing a great job and we all enjoy you! Keep it up!

Yep, I have received one as well.

I quit asking questions long ago. Applaud your efforts. The reports coming from a difference of opinion stink. Get my share as I support any news or debate I can share regarding candidate and former President Clinton. For those who can not debate they violate. But know many are repeat offenders who forget reports count as bad if you rack up a bunch for no valid reason. Just keep writing back Customer care each time. Put the noise back in thier court. I have been answering many of yours lately and none are violations. Just initiate a debate & share info. No rants. Just some hate multiply posts. Some just hate. Sorry you feel bad. Freedom of speach is not banned nor is freedom to behave like complete bullies either. If you watch some internet harassment laws are changing. Some who really attack best take care and try research as well. Aloha !

It is as far as the 'Official' questions go, the ones asked by celebrities and such. I answered one by a politician recently with something he probably wouldn't have liked to have read. Nothing personal, just something against his party and it got deleted. The violation notice said I could email Yahoo if I wanted more information, which I did, but I never got anything back. There was no bad language, racist remarks, personal details, so I can't see any other reason for it being deleted other than it pointed out his flaws and he didn't like it.
That's a restriction of free speech for sure. I mean this isn't Nazi Germany for crying out loud.

Well, I had an answer removed from the 'Politics' section for using the word 'cra... er, I mean crab except with with a P at the end instead of a B. Honestly, I wish Y!A had a "Kiddie Land" or "Teen Club" or something so that the rest of us could use some of the milder vulgarities like 'witch with a b' or 'damp with an n' without corrupting their pure little minds. (Pure little minds HA! South Park is very accurate in portraying the way typical 4th grade boys speak.)

Other participants from the 'Politics' section have reported that some 'eaten up with it' nut cases have gone so far as to go through their 'opponents' profile, reading all their 'enemy's' Q&A looking for any little infraction to report. Seems to me that this sort of 'targeting' should be an infraction in itself.

This is certainly a big change from Yahoo! Chat.

I think you need to give us a little more here? What are the circumstances, did you get your hand slapped because you were mean and vicious, or did you stomp on a nerve with a sling? There must be a motive behind that question, with out further information it is hard to say! from what I have seen here I don't think it has banned anything, but I am new and have not tried to say anything that might be controversial... yet!

I just got a second violation in a week - I deserved one for calling someone a compulsive liar - and stating they need to start taking their meds (couldnt help it this person has no clue about ron paul and seems to answer every question with their bile and out right lies ) the other I have no idea why I was reported it was a question regarding ron paul one poster stated it wasnt a question when it clearlty was another must have joined her and reported me - so no there is no free speech here - I have never reported a person no matter how much they have insulted me -but that might change real soon

Freedom of speech is not crude things, kinky or sexual things or gross inappropriate stuff in most peoples opinion-rather its the right to protest, voice our opinion without fear of reprisal and ask questions we really want to know or info-some thing on this sight I read are just plan idiocy due to askers wanting to get wierd answers, having nothing to due or just uneducated bores-sometimes I don't understand what is allowed to stay and what is taken off though but at least there is a way to protest inappropriate things.....

Yahoo! Answers is entitled to set rules for civil conduct and enforce them.

I hope they are not using these rules to censor anything for political reasons. I appreciate seeing questions and answers from people with views different from mine. Otherwise, what would be the point?

No, just vulgarity and immature idiots that find it amusing to be vulgar and often insulting and inappropriate. Yahoo answers is here to offer a free service to the community and there are many users that misuse it to simply rack up points. It shows their immaturity and those that are serious about it and appreciate this service, shouldn't have to put up with vulgarity and rudeness.
