I honestly think they will repeat 2007 if either of those 3 are not apart of the yankees in 2008, we are putting the same team on the field for this season as it stands now, and not getting either of those 3 would yet again neglect our MAIN priority. Granted, Joba will be starting but we need that #1, Santana would be the perfect Beckett counter, and without him the yankees will never stand a chance against the red sox, Wang has proven he is the pitching version of A-Rod in october. If it is necessary I think the yankees should Throw Ian Kennedy, Phil hughes, Melky Cabrera, eric duncan AND shelley duncan for santana, they cannot afford to get none of those big guys, and if the red sox get him, well, WS title in beantown for the next 6 years.

Although he won't be like Santana, the Yankees should go after Bedard. He will come at a discount and will not ask for Johan's type salary.

I disagree. The Yankees went through a whole lot of injuries to starters this year, yet only lost the division by 2 games and actually won the season series for the Red Sox 10-8. I do agree that one of those who likely put the Yankees over the top, but not that any is essential.

If I had to choose I would pick Bedard. He's been in the AL East and knows the competition. I also think he hasn't reached his potential yet. He would come cheap and would make an immediate impact. Haren gives up to many Homeruns.....

if the yankees dont get any of those guys they will suck more balls than a transvestite on 6th avenue...but theyre guna get santana and win the WS so its cool

hopefully we will get at least one of those guys...hopefully santana....and if pettitte stays and joba becomes a starter...we could be really great next year
