You don't say where you're from or what accent you normally speak with. Obviously, an Ohio resident should not have a strong Southern or New England accent (unless the woman you're playing was born in some other region of the country and later moved to Ohio). Most likely, a "standard American" accent (the speech you hear from, for example, TV newscasters) will work for your performance.
