Most of the industrialized world would disagree with abandonment.

We all signed the Millenium Goals at the turn of the century. Although we're behind in Africa, the effects are starting to show in S.E. Asia and South America.

Africa is not a country. Nor is the Middle East. You’re assuming killing is rampant because you base your knowledge of the regions, from what you've seen on the news. And because it is the news after all, you can hardly expect other positive cultural tidbits to be reported. I'm from Eritrea which is in the Horn of Africa and I've never felt safer than when I was visiting there. The rape and murder rates are non-existent compared to those of the U.S. and other Western Countries. In fact, most people leave their doors unlocked as well. Please don't tell me a bout being civilized.

Not only should we stop aiding them we should stop doing business with any country that does buisness with them.

I'm in favor of letting them pull their own asses out of barbarism, myself.
