The teacher has been sentenced to 15 days.

Now, some stupid nutters are calling for her to be executed.

I have since read quite a few people on Yahoo saying we should bomb Sudan and even 'nuke em' (their terminology, not mine) thus killing hundreds, if not thousnads of innocent children, elderly, people who disgaree with their government and people who simply don;t know about the case.

Please enlighten me as to why these people who want the country bombed aren;t as crazy and as evil as the idiots marching in Sudan calling for her execution?

Does the fact that some of the Brits who are calling for this make us all evil as we come from the same country as them, or should we be distinguished from these idiots too.

BKK I admire your honesty, but you're not the only one. Read it about half a dozen times along with many more calling for bombing them.

A nutter is a nutter whatever their religion, race or colour. The extremists on both sides of your question are as bad as each other.
If anything the 'bomb them/nuke them' brigade are slightly the worse of the two, because not only would they kill thousands of innocent people, they would probably kick off World War Three.

I think that this is a disgusting case... why are people from Sudan calling for this woman's execution!?

I agree that she made a mistake in calling the bear Mohammed but I do not think that it should have lead to a prison sentence and CERTAINLY NOT execution.

At the end of the day this was an English teacher who went to a third world country to help educate those in need.

I completely agree with you though about the fact that some British people on this site are making fun of this and joking that 'we should bomb Sudan and even nuke em', as you say, why should we kill all of the 'innocent children, elderly, people who disgaree with their government and people who simply don't know about the case'? It is not their fault that their government have made a mistake.

This is what happens when rich Arabs give money to poor African state and 'buy' or change them be Arabs they loose their ID, direction and most of all they loose PRIDE hence they try to make their masters happy trying too hard to fit into the world they do not belong to.
Its a shame they have made so much noise about nothing, maybe they will get more money that way. The only thing l can say to those in Sudan who think they are Arabs is make use of the mirror that way they will know who they are.Why do they let themselves to be colonised in is stupid way like this.

I think that when the Brits, Europeans, Americans, etc. say that they are just venting their outrage and frustration at the "nutters" as you say. We take this personally and simply cannot fathom the sentiment of the Sudanese. Unfortunately, when the Sudanese call for the teacher's execution, I'm sure that they DO mean it. They should just be left to fester in their Third World without any more western handouts IMHO.

I totally agree.

Personally, I think the whole teddy story is BONKERS, because a) it was actually the CHILDREN who named the bear, not the teacher. I don't think the teacher thought anything of it, she probably just thought the children were even idolising Mohammed by calling a bear after him.

I can see why Brits areangry about this though. For example, why is no-one punishing the Sudanese who are cursing the whole UK over a misunderstanding involving schoolchildren and a bear?

The whole thing can't be doing anything good for foreign relations that's for sure.

Ok racism is wron g, but...she made an innocent mistake ! we all make them !!
We just dont all get locked away in a sudanese country....must be scary for her.
I asked a muslim girl on my college course what she thought, and she said its wron g, but she thinks the reason shes been locked up is 'cause nobody knows what the phrophet mohammed looks like, and to say he looks like a teddy ...offends them and drags his name down through the mud.
I still don't understand how a teddys name does this though!!!!!!!

Just leave countries like Sudan alone to sizzle in their juices. Don't help Darfur, they won't appreciate it anyway. It's not our problem. Personally I am no longer interested in Muslims, I am bored to death with them. I wish they would take their nasty little way of life to another planet. Not nasty ? Would nice people want to kill you for giving a teddy bear a silly name ?

I know. The most sensible thing to do would be to withdraw all aid. America ought to do the same as they definitely owe us. I realise this hits the people hardest but it is "the people" that are calling for her to be executed.

How about conventional air delivered ordnance then?
Maybe a thermo nuclear device is a wee bit over the top.
