What a weird question.
I don't see any negative "effects" to listening to trance & house music. I'm thirty and been listening to them, and other forms of dance music, since teenage years. And I'm a stable, successful profesional.
The silly stereotype that people listening to these types of music means that they do drugs is just ridiculous...I've never done an illegal drug in my life. That's like saying everyone who listens to rap or hiphop are in gangs or that everyone who listens to heavy metal is a satanist.
Give me a break.

Any long term effects from trance and house music would be the same long term effects from listening to rock, hiphop, jazz, classical, etc. Unless the music is played very loud, there should be no long terms effects of any kind.

Taking drugs while listening to this sort of music is completely different story and will lead to many long term effects depending on the drug used. As long as drugs aren't be used, the person should be perfectly fine.

If anyone does a study on this, i can be a guinea pig!
Ive listened to dance music for the past ten years, normally full blast, headphones etc...
... and i can say theres been no negative effects, aside from a tendency to nod my head to a nice beat, and always saying "wow, thats a cool tune, i wanna remix it!"

Other than possible deafness the music won't have any effect on them whatsoever.

However, if they were taking all the drugs that went along with the scene that's a different story altogether...

if you consider being obsessed with every beat in ANY up tempo song you hear on the radio and tapping your feet to it - a negative effect...

well, honestly: loud, long term, daily dose of trance would be nausea and headache...
