My little girl kicks in great quantities, but only once every few days. Even this morning, after drinking 10 oz. of orange juice, I didn't get her to move. (An hour later she kicked, so I know she's alive and well... she just doesn't kick!)

I'd like the reference to a website or two, if you can find anything.

When I was pregnant with my son, he hardly ever kicked. Just about the time I was really worried and ready to go to the doctor, he would do something to let me know he was okay. I kept telling my doctor and he said that he was just getting bigger and had less room to kick me but I always felt that something more was wrong and one day at my doctors appt, his heart rate dropped dramatically and I had an Emergency C-section it was then that we found out he had his cord wrapped twice around his neck and once around one of his arms. My doctor said thats why he had been so still. You can always ask for an ultrasound to make sure things are okay. It's better than worrying.

You should me able to count 10 movements in 1 hour. But uif you count 8 or 9 that doesn't mean something is wrong. Your baby can be kicking in or maybe your little one is a lazy angel. Congratulations on your baby.

After dinner lay on your left side. Stay there for an hour. In that hour, your baby should kick up to ten times. I just had a baby and that's what my doc told me to do. I didn't have a real mover. Doc said she'd be a good sleeper than. AND SHE IS!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK!! Sorry I don't have a reference for you.

Your movement may lull her to sleep, be still for a bit and hour or two, enjoy , take a break for a good book. Sit on the computer for longer than usual.
