If the next president is Fred Thompson or Mike Huckabee, you can count on it!

I honestly think it will be impossible to seal the border, that border security can be improved, but that this must be one of several things that are done. For example, I believe that Fred Thompson's and most of the Democrat's proposals to get very tough on employers will really work and that many illegal aliens will self deport when they lose their jobs.

I believe that no matter who is elected president, they will have to do a comprehensive program to reduce the flood of illegal immigrants to no more than a trickle. The American people, Republicans and Democrats, will demand it.

No i do not. It would have to look like the wall did in Berlin guarded by Guns and Americans will not allow that to ever happen. Too bad because it would work better than just a fence.

Bush will never do it. he has pardoned so many illegals while he was Governor in Texas. Even making an illegal legal within 24 hours so she could receive a 4 year Duke Scholarship, taking it away from a legal person. He loves Mexico too much.

The next President shouldn't HAVE to be counted on to do it, THIS PRESIDENT should have done it already.

He DOES say that only Republicans understand security, doesn't he?

Why HAVEN'T Republicans secured the borders, the airports or the seaports in the last 6 years? They OWNED Washington DC for that 6 years! Why is the coast of Oregon and Washington state completely unguarded? Why did Bush resist forming an independent 9/11 Commission after the attacks? Why would a Republican controlled Congress in 2006 remove a $650 Million budget item meant to increase inspection of cargo at our seaports?

WHY IS OSAMA BIN LADEN STILL FREE AND AT LARGE? Doesn't his continued freedom and contempt of the US "embolden the enemy"?

No. All the talk is crap. Now they could do a great deal more but the only answer is to go after people that employee them. That's the question that should be asked, not that you'd get a real answer.

Now if one would walk across the border and blow up George's mail box or something, then something might happen.

no, it would have 2 go all the way around the USA 4 it 2 work they will get 2 the end of it eventually if we are not surrounded by a wall with guards every half a mile r so that will not take money to let people over it. which will never happen because u've got 2 many people that does not give a ****. mark me word in 10,20 more years people will be try'n 2 get out of the USA instead of try'n 2 get in it, and by that i mean true Americans.

I don't think it is up to the president. I don't think Bush could do it even if he wanted to. Congress has to be behind an effort like the one we face and support it with laws ans with money. I DO think that if the American voter turns out and puts those traitors who support illegals or amnesty out of work we can get it done. We don't need a fence to secure the border and a fence won't remove the criminals or their anchor babies that are here now. We need a comprehensive plan to get rid of them and to make it undesirable for them to return here. After we have eliminated all of them then it will be time to look at our immigration policy and see if it needs updating but not until then.

If the country elects a democrat, not only will the floodgates open, more illegals will swarm in, the battle will become giving them citizenship, with voting privileges.

It may take the democrats a generation or two to kill the "hard work ethic" of the illegals, to be same as other minorities already "dumbed down" to become dependent on government BUT in the long run, they will become another exploited minority, living off of government.

If a republican wins, it would make the new President unelectable for a second term, to defy the socialists. I don't think a republican will close the borders, the pressure from liberals will take them down.

The only border that exist is inside the mentality.

No, no one will because corporations needs those illegals so they can keep prices low, and they don't have to spend billions extra on benefits and pay raises. Corporations need the illegals, and the illegals needs the corps. And the corps control the gov't.

No, the issue is a red herring. The American populace is easily distracted from real issues.
