I have a few....

The notebook...
Young Allie: Why didn't you write me? Why? It wasn't over for me, I waited for you for seven years. But now it's too late.
Young Noah: I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you everyday for a year.
Young Allie: You wrote me?
Young Noah: Yes... it wasn't over, it still isn't over
[kisses Allie]

Pride & Prejudice:

Mr. Darcy: You must know... surely, you must know it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as I'd scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.

Ok this one isn't romantic -- but they have such great chemistry together!!

You've got Mail:
Joe Fox: You're crazy about him...
Kathleen Kelly: Yes. I am.
Joe Fox: Then why don't you run off with him? What are you waiting for?
Kathleen Kelly: I don't actually know him.
Joe Fox: Really?
Kathleen Kelly: We only know each other - oh, God, you're not going to believe this...
Joe Fox: Let me guess. From the Internet.
Kathleen Kelly: Yes.
Joe Fox: You've got mail.
Kathleen Kelly: Yes.
Joe Fox: Three very powerful words.
Kathleen Kelly: Yes.

*** I forgot one....
Casino Royale:
Vesper Lynd: You're not going to let me in there, are you? You've got your armour back on. That's that.
James Bond: I have no armour left. You've stripped it from me. Whatever is left of me - whatever is left of me - whatever I am - I'm yours.

Although I disliked the movie overall, I liked the line from 'Fools Rush In' where Matthew Perry's character says "You are everything I never knew I always wanted."

However, I think the movie 'The Holiday' has the absolute best (and smartest) romantic dialogue. I always cry when I watch that movie because it is so spot-on. I've lived it. I understand it. I feel the characters' pain.

There was a movie that came out in the 80's called "Stealing Heaven" about Heloise and Abelard. It was a docudrama, it kept quite true to the real people and what they faced back in the 13th Century in Paris. Heloise wrote in her journal about watching them build Notre Dame Cathedral from her uncle's window and Abelard ended up castrated...VERY tragic love story, but it's true.

Also, the remake of The Scarlett Letter (with Demi Moore and Gary Oldman) had many wonderful, romantic lines but the one that stands out the most was, "God help me Hester Prynne, but I love thee." And her response was, "I have prayed for thee to speak thy heart."

Stealing Heaven might be harder to get on DVD but The Scarlett Letter can be found at any local video store and is a gorgeous piece of work. It's one of the last movies produced by Dodi Fayed before he and Princess Diana were killed. Well worth the watch even if you've never read the book.

I like your question. These quotes don't necessarily make me wanna gag. I like movies. These are some of the most famous quotes; spanning several decades. "May The Force be with you" - Star Wars: Episode IV, A New Hope "I'll be back" - The Terminator "Has ta La Vista, Baby" - Terminator 2: Judgment Day "I'm As Mad As Hell AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANY MORE!" - Network "You have upset the primal forces of NATURE! And YOU WILL ATONE!" - Network "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." - The Godfather "Here's looking at you kid." - Casablanca "Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?" - Ferris Bueller's Day Off "I coulda been a contender." - On The Waterfront "You talkin to me?" - Taxi Driver "Do you feel lucky? Well do ya, punk?" - Dirty Harry And finally: "Go ahead. Make my day." - Sudden Impact

I would have to say the most romantic dialogue would have to be the death scene in Romeo and Juliette.

But I really think the most romantic LINE ever was from the move Phenomenon. The John Travolta character, who is dying, asks the Kyra Sedgewick character if she will love him for the rest of his life. Her answer was that she would love him for the rest of HER life. It brings a tear to my eye every time.

I can't remember the exact words to it but in the movie Jerry Maguire, (in my opinion) the " You complete me" speech was very romantic.

I just remembered another line. It's from the movie Madea's Family Reunion where one of the elders in the family is talking about her dead husband to one of her nieces who is about to get married. She gives a great speech and includes the lines
" I laid on his chest and his heart was beating at exactly the same time mine was, ... I felt so blessed that the God himself took the time to make a man especially for me....."

"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give you forever." - The Notebook

I sometimes have a queer felling with regard to you especially when you are near me as if i had a string somewhere under my left ribs tightly knotted to you. If you leave that string would break and I will bleed internally. Something like that

Mine is from the movie "Monster In-law" and I have never forgotten it since.

Girl: "What color are my eyes?" she asks, facing him with her eyes closed.

Boy: " Well, at first glance your eyes are brown. But when the light hits them, they change to amber. And if you look really close around the iris, the color is pure honey. But, when you look into the sun, they almost look green....that's my favorite."
