I want to know how a woman can increase her libido.
I am on the depo provera shot, and it has decreased my already low drive. I would really appreciate anything that could help me, and PLEASE, only serious answers, no abuse or immaturity... Thanks..

Well, taking care of one's health makes all the difference in the world. It's hard to feel libidinous when you're not feeling well or are depressed. So visit a doctor, get a full physical. Eat right and exercise. You might consider a different contraceptive, too, if that one is causing problems.

There could be issues of anger with a partner, that will send a libido into low tide as well. Couples counseling or individual counseling may be appropriate in that respect.

You might try jump starting things with some erotica, or nurturing a "harmless" crush on a celebrity...this is one time where fantasy can be useful..then transfer all those great feelings to your sweetie. This one I know works :)

Otherwise, don't try to "force it" too much...there are times when desire ebbs and flows, and that's just that. Use that "down" time to discover the joys of true romance, spirituality or other things...

and let nature take its course.

If your libido was low to start with and lower now, it is a positive thing that you want more feelings again. I went through it after my second child. The pill worked more effectively than ever and I lost a lot of interest. I had been a real animal in bed before.
I started taking an antidepressant. With the pressure of wanting to get my libido back suppressed I felt better. We decided to sort of start over sexually. We did things very slow and deliberately. Sometimes we would cuddle and sex-play in the morning putting off an orgasm until that night. We re-explored each other over a year or so until we were happy with the spontaneity we developed. My husband got a vasectomy so that I could stop taking the pill which has also helped. We are happy having had two kids and he volunteered.
We still are not having sex every day or two like we did before. But I really enjoy the sex I have now more than when it was just frenzied and hot.

I was on depo and had a Huge sex drive to begin with. It made mine nonexistant and severly depressed. I think it is the worst form of birth control ad should be taken of the market. Try switching To the ring if remembering to take the pill didnt work for you. The hormones in the shot are pretty powerful to last three months at a time. Even after you get off of it they will remain in your system for a while.

If your birth control is negatively affecting your sex drive, switch birth controls. That means it's causing a change in your regular hormone levels (as expected) and it may have other adverse side effects down the road, or your lack of desire may disappear altogether. The best thing to do for this is to take action and get on a less invasive form of hormonal birth control; try the ring.

Other than that, you can increase stimulation via toys or adult videos, if you're looking for help in the bedroom in the meantime, but libido is directed by hormones and if your hormones have changed so that you have a low desire, its going to be difficult to influence that in any other way than hormonally.

I take an OTC medication called Steel Libido for Women--it's works. You can buy it at a health food store or order it on-line. Google it. It increases my sex drive AND intensifies my orgasms.

Talk with your doctor about a different dosage or a different type of BC. Your BC is not supposed to decrease you risk of pregnancy by decreasing your sex drive.

Next, think about sex--fantasy is an excellent way to whet your appetite. Get plenty of rest, eat right, remember to pamper yourself.

Talk to your doctor. A low dose of testosterone may help. It's can help to increase a women's sex drive.

As long as it's a low dose you shouldn't see very many side effects.
