No it's not bad if a baby does not burp. If you are worried about it, take him to the doctor. For a while my baby had a hard time burping and he out grew it. Now he burps really good and he is 17 months old.

it will result in a tummy ache and or gas if he dosnt burp along with more puking... try different postions when you burp him, some babys burp easier laying on there tummy or sitting on your lap, some you need to rest up on your shoulder.. some like the rubbing of the back instead of patting. try different things, he will burp in minutes.

It's not bad, unless you think he's uncomfortable as a result of gas. If he doesn't burp after eating, maybe he just doesn't need to right away. No worries!

he'll get really fussy because it hurts (i'm 19& even now when i can't burp it bugs me lol)... i'm not sure what else not burping can do.. but would you rather have him crying all day? or take 1hr. to burp him?... plus as he gets older his body will burp easily

No, you only burp them to make them comfortable when theyre not comfortable.
Some babies are just good at nursing and dont gulp air.

This gas thing is an American obsession. My friend went to South America. The mommy nurses the baby, then puts the baby back in the sling.
If gas doesn't make your baby cry... don't worry about it.

Unless he seems uncomfortable or spits up frequently, then I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe he isn't getting any air in his belly, thats a good thing. Then, just add it to your list of questions to ask the pediatrician at your next visit.
