I don't

I just watch that person to see if their arrogance is justified or not

2007-11-30 02:52:22 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 3 0

That depends on the circumstances. If it's someone I'm required to be around a lot, like a co-worker, I'll make it known clearly and immediately that I won't put up with it. If you don't do that, then you're giving tacit approval to the behavior. In the industry I work in, this is a frequent issue one has to deal with.
If it's someone I don't often have to be around, I'll just blow it off and leave or start a conversation with someone else.

I have to weigh my feelings. Sometimes what I perceive as arrogant may simply be someone who is right and it makes me uncomfortable.

Sometimes though it is unjustified rudeness--I usually just ignore the person at that point.

(Oh, and I agree with some of your other answerers Linz--very flattering picture)

Edit: Good to see you too Linz--as always.

I have a short fuse and low tolerance sometimes. I'd be sure to tell the person exactly what I thought of them.

Linz please go answer my 2 Qs. Pretty please?
and yeah, I'm with Bettie on your pic. Luv it.

Oooooo...I love those kind the most! I love to mess with their heads and be very condescending and belittle them as much as possible. That usually gets rid of them pretty quick!

Unfortunately I seem to act arrogant and/or coldly polite back... it is like a compulsion and I can't seem to help it. In my mind though I really want to slap that person. :-)

I don't react...I just ignore it. I had a friend once that was very arrogant. We used to say that he wasn't arrogant he's just convinced.

It depends, if they are intelligent and arrogant I'm much more likely to be okay with them than if they are arrogant and brain-dead.

Since I'm currently dealing with that problem in my ex husband(he told me he will have me thrown in jail if I refuse to keep in touch with him by phone) -- my best response is to IGNORE.
