The corporate big wigs may get all Christmas week off, politicians seem to take two or three weeks off and lower end jobs are lucky to not have to work Christmas day or New year's day.

Jings, I work in the retail trade and my only guaruanteed days off are Christmas day and New Year's day. If I want anything more, I huv tae join the queue of folk looking fur a holiday!!! One of the slogans that oor company huz is "The Co-op, Family Friendly", think they need tae rethink their family friendly thing!!!

I finish on the 21st of December and don't have to go back until the 2nd of January so including the weekends it's 11 days off all paid . I cant wait.

Ah.....retired.......I get the entire month off.....actually had all of 2007 off and I also get all of 2008 off...only have to work doing honey do type of stuff. Wonderful being retired....

depends on the field of service. Obviously if you are working in the retail field, VERY little compared to those in the professional field.
