I had a huge Faux pau in Jr. high as a 7Th grader...in band class i had found a tampax in the hallway on the way to class (it had been removed from the package..undoubtedly had fallen out of a girls locker or purse...anyway I thought it looked like cool, like a little stick of dynamite...lol...i had zero idea what it was...well in roll call in band I hold it up and announce I'm going to pull this cord and see what happens...I was ready for a big laugh but all the girls just turned their heads and the band teacher just gave me a look of let's move on so I just put it down and moved on...of course years later when i found out what it was I realized what a faux pau that was...lol

i dont know what i was inhaling because when i was playing scrabble with my hubby's 95yr old grandpa I accused him of putting a phony word. Then he looks at me and said " PAY " you don't know what that is. Like when you pay something.. OH crap! I couldn't believe i just did that. It was my first time meeting him too. He must been thinking he got himself a winner!
