If he is on a diet and losing weight that can be a reason...especially low carbohydrate diets. As your body uses fat it has to prepare the fat cells for use by getting rid of the excess water that is used in the fat storage process. You should also consider a prostate issue. Prostate troubles can cause you to have frequent urination but often only a small amount of urine is produced. Even though there is little urine the urge to go is still strong. I wouls suggest getting the dreaded prostate exam. Better safe than sorry.....also a psa blood test may be in order.

How long does the syptom take place?? At what time of the day it happens? morning, afternoon, night, or midnight? Does he have scramp? Some food can cause hyperuretic as ur husband. Can think of a hypertrophy of the prostate. But anyway, u should contact a physician for a general examination of the urinary system

Check kidney function.

It sounds like your husband has an enlarged prostate. He should see his doctor. There are several medications available that can treat his symptoms. However, there may be a more serious underlying cause that only your doctor can diagnose.

May simply be overactive bladder, and a pill a day can change his life-- I know from experience. Just send him to a urologist, for petes sake, not a general practitioner who will do all sorts of tests. Urologists are the ones to go to directly for pee probs and sex problems in males.
