That depends on whether you prefer the short version, (radio play) or the 'live' long version over the long studio version.
The long versions have all the qualifications to be called a classic 'symphony' (I did a thesis on this in high school!) and if played on a decent turntable with high quality headphones will blow you away! I havent' been able to get both versions on CD yet but someday....
If you didn't know- Inna-gadda-DA-vida is the correct spelling-and supposedly the name given was at the studio. When asked what they would call it-being drunk and/or stoned at the time-instead of saying "In The Garden of Eden"....it came out as 'inna gadda da vida'....

And I envy everyone that got to see it performed live!

and on one of their albums is the shortest recorded Rock Hit ever...I think it is all of 17 notes. Time to dust off the turntable and listen again...

If you consider the greatest songs ever are based on length of the song then yes.

Personally, I prefer "The Entrance of the Gods into Valhalla" by Richard Wagner. I also like the Moody Blues. They had a lot in common with Wagner.

Yes. It was a great song in it's time but I don't see it as the greatest song of all time.

Its pretty good, especially the drum solo, but I don't think its the greatest song of all time.
