Unless your husband has given you reasons to not trust him than you need to trust him.
If it has nothing to do with the trust and has everything to do with you just plain needing him around than that you have to talk to him about.
If this is something that he can't do again than I would just suggest that you let him go he'll enjoy himself and after all its only for 2 day so its not like he'll be gone for a week. Good luck to you and sorry to hear about your Dad. My prayers are with you and your mother.

I believe you may harbor some anger or resentment towards your husband for his acceptance of this invite. Your feelings are hurt because you think he should have declined this opportunity and supported you at a time when the obligations to the family are most needed. If it was his mother would he have still accepted? Scuba diving was your quality time together and now he is ok with spending that activity with some one else. Old married men cheat too. I am only guessing the menagerie of concerns that may be filtering through your brain. I believe you are fearful that he will have fun with out you being there. Maybe some co-dependency. Take these two days to better focus on strengthening your relationship with your mother. She must miss your father a lot, and to think you are having trouble with just two days. God bless your family and my condolences on the death of your father.

Wow, if you've been married for 19 years and have such a good relationship with your hubby that your opinion on this even matters......... then you are way ahead of most women in the relationship department and should be GIVING the advice LOL!!
My "better half" is a pilot and has the opportunity to do things I sometimes can't. Sometimes it's a bummer to be the one feeling "left behind", but I have noticed that if and when he gets opportunities (a recent one was to scuba dive with old friends) and takes them, he comes back to me very refreshed and energized and I benefit.
A man needs to get out and about sometimes. This sounds like a very good "out and about" for hubby to shoot for, the sort of thing most women would absolutely not mind and some women WISH was all their hubby wanted to do!!
The main thing is to make sure you truly want him to have a good time and don't make him feel guilty about it. That way he appreciates the gesture, and he will hopefully come back re-energized and ready to help you tackle what is stressing you!

I think you did the right thing. He deserves to have some down time w/ the guys. That was nice of you to let him go, and you stay back to take care of your mom. Good Luck !!

Of course there is nothing wrong with it. It's very sweet that he even waited for your blessing before he would accept the invitation.

Let him get away. He's going to assume some new changes as well soon, and the getaways will be fewer and farther between. I think it would be a nice gesture. You'd hope he'd do it for you.

Yes, but once he is back, make sure that you get a day or two of something else, stress-free. Something that you don't normally get the time to do.

Thats very nice of you.
Maybe when he comes back you can take some time to recharge your batteries to keep from burning out too soon?
