It's been about two years for me now. I read the book, "Fast Food Nation" and I will NEVER eat fast food AGAIN. Plus, my very first job was at McDonalds, and I KNOW what goes on in there. Also, "Fast Food Nation" was made into a very compelling movie. Fast food may be tasty and *fast* but it's a caloric nightmare. And sometimes I wonder if that is really MEAT in there. (shudders)

I don't eat it very often, perhaps once a month, and my body has thanked me for this decision dramatically by giving me vibrant health.
It's very bad for you to consume that stuff on a regular basis. Did you see "SuperSize Me" by Morgan Spurlock? If you didn't see that movie, please rent it and watch it. It should be required viewing by school students in U.S.A. of ALL levels.
And read the book Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser.
Other good books on this subject? ::::
1. Sweet Deception by Dr. Joseph Mercola
2. Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About.. by Kevin Trudeau
3. The Food Revolution by John Robbins
Kevin Trudeau's writing skills are quite awful for an author but his book still has good information.

Way to go man!! the added extra things, like extra hormones and steriods to help mature the animal quicker, that they put in food these days is really terrible. the food that you buy in the store is not healthy at all. the preservatives arent the least bit healthy either. i totally hate fast food because half hr after im dun eating it the aftereffects are nasty!!! guys u know what im talkin about the air just gets polluted!!

Its only me and my mother, theres no point for us to even make a super. Our life is on the go.. And thats why we need fast food. I wish we would have time to eat and eat healthy but we dont. Congrats on the escaping of the fast food world, but as for now im stuck in it.

Hey that's great that you gave up on the greasy foods that embedds huge amount of carbs, and fats in our body like Mc Donald's Double Cheese, Wendy's Texas's or Jack In The Box's Sirloin Burger... I gave it up four years ago and ate the healthy... I even lost a couple of pounds!!!

I'll only ever eat a KFC once in a blue moon if I'm in a service station and I'm really hungry.
Fast food is rubbish, and I really can't see the point.

I have given up most of them up, one at a time, for different reasons. McD's different prices at they different stores, Subway because they quit carrying my Akins wrap, Burger King because they bragged about their bunless burger and I got a cold greasy piece of meat and toppings ... Boy did that tick me off. The ony reason I go to fast food any more is with my grandchildren to play on the play grounds.
Taco Bell still has my number, lol.
Senior's get their drinks free at Taco Bell! Drink and taco for 78 cents!

I eat at fast food places MAYBE twice a year or so, when I'm on the road. Ain't never missed em. I'm with you. I like real dishes, real silverware, and the adventure of finding new and good places to eat.
