HELP! Am I pregnant?

I had sex for the first time last week and I haven't got my period. Tyrone said I should bleed immediately or else I'm pregnant. I can't take a pregnancy test cause I spent my allowance on fried chicken last night. Help!

Couple of things...First, I have no idea why he would tell you that unless you bleed immediately you're pregnant. There is absolutely no truth to that. Second, think about when you should have started your period and if you aren't late there's no reason to panic just yet. Also, you didn't mention whether you used any form of birth control such as condoms. If you did, you're more than likely going to be fine. If not, and your period is late, then pregnancy is a definite possibility and you need to talk to your parents or some other adult that you trust and feel comfortable talking to.

Wow. You sound really young and too immature to be having sex. Immediate bleeding after sex isn't a sign that you won't get pregnant. Tyrone is an idiot. You need to get sex ed. If you're pregnant, your period will most likely be late. Take a test on the first day of your missed period. I really hope you used a condom. You're too immature and too young to be having sex.

If you're not ready for kids (and most teens aren't ready for the 20hr a day job of being a parent), you have two choices... No sex, or proper protection...EVERY TIME. *Regardless* of where you are in your cycle, you can become pregnant.

As for your equally immature idiot lover...the only "immediate" bleeding that would happen when a virgin has sex is from her ruptured hymen...which, given the prevelence of sports (esp. running / physically "violent", cycling, horse riding, etc) that young women are more and more active in, an intact hymen during first time intercourse is becoming more and more rare.

Be smart, and if he's pushing you to have sex, tell him to take a hike. It's YOUR choice, not his.

You won't bleed immediately after having sex. You should have your period at your normal time of the month, though. Otherwise, you could be pregnant.

YOU SHOULD GO TO A CLINC THAT WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU A FREE PREGNANCY TEST OR GO TO THE ER AND TELL THEM YOU ARE HAVING STOMACH CRAMPS AND THAT YOU MIGHT BE PREGNANT, YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW LATE YOU ARE...
