No, rain really doesnt effect most of the attractions at Disney's parks. It really doesnt rain that often there and you might find lighter crowds if it does rain. I think the only thing they close if it rains too much is Tom Sawyers Island, everything else should stay open.

Hell no! They sell pancho's. And at $8 a pop, they earn money on it.
I have been there before when it started raining and we had a blast because most everyone else cleared out and we could just walk on rides everywhere.
But of course, if it is a major storm, they will shut down some rides for safety. But we rarely have major storms around here (I live within 100 miles, so our weather is pretty similar). So the likely hood of a major storm is rare. Light, 1/2 day showers are more likely, but still infrequent.
If you think it might rain the day you are going, just plan ahead and bring a pair of sweats and extra shoes and stuff for the ride home (I froze when it happened to us), and just leave them in the car. There are plenty of gas stations around the area where you can change after you leave (that is if you aren't staying in a hotel around there).
Have fun playing in the rain!

Are you kidding they might lose money that way. There are times that they might shut a ride down but that's about it.
That being said Disney is best when it's raining because most people think it's acid and start running for cover.

Nope. There are too many indoor rides and shows. There are only a few outdoor rides. Some of the outdoor rides might shutdown like the Maliboomer of the Golden Zephyr in DCA if it's really windy outside.

no, they won't shut down. but, some rides may be shut down if it is unsafe to operate in the rain.
basically, the park will stay open but events, shows and rides may be affected.
fireworks will still continue if there is rain, but if it's too windy it will be cancelled.

no, but if it continues to rain hard all day and the crowds die down, they will close early. I was there once when the park was supposed to stay open until mid-night and they closed at 9 because hardly anyone was left there.

Most of the rides will not, because they are indoors. If said rain becomes a safety hazard on outdoor attractions, then some of those may close.

Disneyland NEVER closes. They may close rides during a storm as they become unsafe, but the amusement park stays open it's regular hours.
