Well yet another psychic among us because as of 15 minutes ago on at least 3 news programs Sky included, they are saying Portugal police may ask to question the McCanns and their friends again.
NO ONE I REPEAT NO ONE HAS BEEN CLEARED. Unless you have a link to somewhere else that we are all missing. A friend staying in New York has also just heard the same thing on the News over there !!

So no one needs to apologize especially as they are guilty of neglect of their children 3 off them and don't forget the other lovely part of their group in sum total the Tapas 9 are all guilty of child neglect as they all left their children alone that night and therefore it was not just Madelaine who was in danger or was it ?? That has been the whole point all along and the Portugeuse Police should charge them all with neglect and also wasting Police time as they have lied throughout this whole sorry case.

No amount of questions or badgering on this forum will solve this case.

I'm not a pro or anti McCann, but I wonder if the people who have called Robert Murat's girlfriend a liar will apologise too, because a) her alibi has been proven (she was at a church in Lagos, not Praia da Luz), and b) she has been cleared. The Portuguese police have not cleared the McCanns, but I hope that they do, because then there is still hope she is alive. They have, however, said there is no evidence against Robert Murat's girlfriend, so will anyone apologise for the vile slurs directed at her?

I have always thought they had nothing to do with her disappearance.

But...

As you have not provided a link and I follow the news frequently, when they are cleared as suspects, it will be all over the news and the papers. I think you are a little premature. We need to wait perhaps up to a week.

I put out a question some weeks ago as to whether the penny is going to drop with the anti-McCanns. I think that it is certainly beginning to drop with the Portuguese police!

I can say this because I read an article about the police having a new theory: perhaps Madeleine was taken by a paedophile!....well, who would have thought of that ,eh?

I am pleased at your question......but a little premature.

You are wrong. They have NOT been cleared. They were not made official suspects based on the results of those tests. The PJ-GNR have said today that their line of enquiry, the route of their investigation is NOT dependent on the test tresults.
I suggest that some of us search for Portuguese newspapers, translate using Yahoo translator and then READ the other side of the story.

If the police had any evidence that they were involved they would have charged them. They are a joke they took that long to react to the disappearance that if the poor girl was still close they gave the people chance to move the girl.
The Portuguese police could be likened to the keystone cops in other words a fuckin joke.
And as for everyone that had these so called theories on here they are probably SUN readers !!
And if I get thumbed down so that's life but will sleep tonight.

i knew about Maddie's disappearance (you'd have had to be in ood not to) but then since i don't watch too much TV or read too many papers i lost touch with what the "media" were reporting, my mum told me that everyone was accusing the mcCanns, for i moment i thought well maybe they did, since statistically children are apparently at more risk from their parents than anyone else!! but i never thought that they REALLY did,

it does however raise questions for future cases

what i do wonder is where has the concept of innocent til found guilty or a fair trial - imagine if they had done it with all the "trial by media" there would be very few places which could give a fair trial without bias so murderers would have got off on a technicality

imagine a few hundred years ago these two innocent people would probably been hanged by a lynch mob

it also poses a question for parents everywhere if anything should god forbid happen to one of ours are we all going to be suspect (more than is usual iykwim)

i feel for the family as a mum to 6 i cant imagine how she keeps herself together, i would be a wreck. without any of the mud slinging - And i join many thousands of people in praying with all hope that Maddie be found safe and well

i think it is also scary how easily the public are swayed by such a fickle entity as the media !!! scary times we live in hey!!!!

I do not agree with what the McCanns did. I have said before if they were to be found innocent. Then I would apologise.
As of yet this is not so. The tests are ongoing and the McCanns are still arguidos

No there is still something wrong with them two, just because the evidence is inconclusive doesn't make them innocent

Too many people will hang their heads in shame knowing they have accused a married couple of murder, they won't apologise, for now they may feel they could be taken to Court themselves for stating something untrue, I told all on Answers i would apologise if they were found guilty and I'm pleased as punch I don't have to do it, why? I'd have been made to look like an idiot just like the others now. Anyone else want to apologise or feel meek?
By the way Amy, CHILD NEGLECT IS NOT MURDER SO GET IT IN LINE

Sorry, but it says they expect to be cleared, not that they have been. And how many times within the last few months have they "expected" to be cleared? What has come from it?
