Currently I have Virgin Mobile, its okay, but I'm tired of prepaid, I'm pretty sure I can afford 50 dollars a month for the 450mins a month plan.

Most of my family has verizon and I would be charged extra minutes for when I call them. I think it is very possible that I can keep up with the bill, I get at least 120 every 2 weeks from work study and have little other bills, extra for 2 credit cards that I'm trying to get paid off.

So what do you say, think or have any opinions?

Since your family has Verizon and you are going to switch to Verizon, your calls to them should be free. make sure when you sign up for your plan you ask about that feature. they also have some phones out right now that are really inexpensive. However, they will get you on any data package you purchase. expect to spend about 20 bucks(taxes and data purchase) on top of your phone bill. but i really like their service so i figured i dont mind pay extra for the surcharges, when i talk to everyone (on verizon) for free.
As for verizon opening up their service to all phones, that hasnt been set in stone yet. at that will most likely not apply to older phones as they will have a system requirment.

Verizion has "IN" calling, where you add friends and family. I'm not sure of the details. Another good thing is I just heard on the news that Verizion will use any phone on their plans, so you don't have to get a new one. I like them and have been with them for about 5 years. My bill is about 75 dollars a month. Thats 2 lines and we share 500 minutes, but my hubby and I can call each other for free.

No they are too costly. They have the highest rates. Keep what you have and stay happy.
