THe confederat battle flag? I don't, but my parents do....And we're not even black or anything...but like, for example there was a shirt yesterday a lynryd skynryd shirt with a rebel flag and I wanted to get it and they said I'm not allowed because of the flag! and I was like wth? ANd besides it kinda is like MY flag, I mean I live in a southern state,(Florida) and no matter what people say about Florida not being part of the south, IT IS...Sweet tea, twangy people, and pecan pie.... Just because southerners used it in the civil war does not mean it is the flag of racists...I mean all it was was like the American flag but for the thirteen southern states! It even flies over Mississippi still! And in Pensacola, I lived there, It flies over the big arena in downtown there! I don't think it's bad, so why do so many people think it's bad? Do you think it's wrong

Yah just because some stupid people decide to sue it while committing racist acts has given it such a bad name! But it doesn't mean that people who use it are racist...

I don't understand why people insist on viewing the Rebel flag as a slap in the face. It is a part of history and not some far away history. American history. I don't think it is a symbol of slavery. I think It has been made to be a symbol of slavery during this time of "everything must be politically correct" I mean to offend no one by this. It is simply my opinion on the question asked.

I'm black and I'd feel wary living next to someone flying that flag..

However, that doesn't mean it's a racist flag or anything. It just has a somewhat racist past.

But they say the past is the past..and it's not like you're flying a KKK flag or something..If it's a flag of where you live..and it makes you proud to see or wear it..then hold your head high and go for it.

Yes it's wrong, the Rebel Flag, represents racism...

Years ago here in Jasper, TX they dragged this guy down a street, these guys were waving the rebel flag when they did this hate crime...

Me, personally, I wouldn't do it.. and I live in Texas, born and raised

I live in Georgia and I agree, you guys are part of the south! There is nothing wrong with the flag, it is a part of our heritage, it has nothing to do with racism, people just like to start problems.
and yes i'm happy it's friday!

People don't like it because it was a symbol for an army that was fighting to keep slavery. Basically it's a symbol of ignorance and racism, at least in most people's minds.

If you use it and think about it to symbolize the south no it's not bad, but it has been a legal racial icon for people for years...
