i don't know what to do.
i can't stand this! i would never keep a friend around that i knew was racist....
i would never go on more than one date with a person that had opposite religious and political views as me...

but we've been together for 3 years now, and i love him.

he's said some funny things that have made me wonder before about him being pregidous against certain groups...
but he always made it so sarcastic that i took it lightly.

i don't plan on breaking up with him, but i feel like i'm advocating these beliefs by being with him.........

ahhh.
what to do?

what i meant by the jokes comment is that he was joking before, but after getting him to seriously talk about it, he told me that he honestly is racist.

the problem is that it's too late to decide not to see him because of this.

things would be completely different if it were a first date...but the time has come and passed for me to find his faults and either deny or accept.

be opened minded and tell him how you feel he just might listen and change his views on his jokes and if he loves you he will make the right choices and things can get back to normal

Naw, I don't see a problem with this. His views are his views, your views are your views. That's suppose to be what this country was founded on. If you do not like his views then it might be time to find another boyfriend, if you don't want to do that then except him for how he is. It is as simple as that.

Everyone has different views. Lighten up unless hes lynching people or something crazy like that! Open your mind to others' views. Whats that about not keeping friends who think differently?

Well, if you choose to be so intollerant, dump him. I mean even though he might be kidding, dont even give him a chance to make up for it...
